I've had a little delay in starting this course, but am now ready to get down to it. I have a few weeks before my first assignment is due with my tutor so need to knuckle down.
I'm excited to start with the portrait section. I am not particularly comfortable with set up portraits. I have always been one for natural photography, just taking numerous photos of people as they go about their business so I'm looking forward to exploring portrait photography more.
I am looking to gain more experience in what I already know from this course. I have always been one to take a camera with me and to take photos of scene's that I find interesting and so I think the 'place' aspect of this course will broaden and give me more knowledge on doing this in the future. I started out taking photography seriously with landscapes so it will be interesting for me to be able to learn more about incorporating buildings in there too.
People and place is a part of everyone's everyday life so I am excited to stop and focus on it in detail and to expand my photography knowledge while doing so.

Welcome!
Welcome to my new blog, which doubles up as my learning log for the third installment of my Photography course, People and Place.
I received my course materials yesterday so after having a read through all the introductions to it last night, I am ready to start this next chapter.
